Carroll County, Maryland, is just a short drive from Gettysburg, PA (35 minutes), Baltimore (45 minutes), and Washington, D.C. (90 minutes). Centered in the northern portion of Maryland, Carroll County is conveniently located by using I-795 into the northern part of the County or using I-70 to enter the southern portion of the County. Westminster, the County Seat, is centrally located right off Rt. 140.
