Tour the countryside!

Book Your Tour

All tours are designed for weekdays, but special arrangements may be made for the weekends upon request. Our tours can be one-day trips or combined to create an overnight stay. Our local hotels are reasonably priced so they offer a good place to stay while adding Baltimore, Gettysburg, or Washington, D.C. to your trip.

We complete the plans from reservations at sites to final payments. Our informative step-on-guide will join your group, assisting the bus driver with directions, while providing friendly and entertaining information.

Please call the Carroll County Tourism Office, 1-888-299-2983. We would be happy to help you plan a fun day for your group.

CARROLL COUNTY GROUP TOUR

Progressive Lunch Tour

1 Day (7 hrs)
  • Johansson’s Dining House
  • Historic Uniontown
  • Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel
  • Carroll County Farm Museum
  • The Kate Pearl Tearoom

Begin your tour at Johansson’s Dining House, located on Westminster’s quaint Main Street and enjoy a fresh salad or a bowl of hot soup.

Then ride the motorcoach through Uniontown, a one-street village frozen in time. See the post office and country store, one-room school-house, and the charming architecture of the private homes. Enjoy the ride through this 200-year old town which proudly bears its presence on the National Register of Historic Places.

Nestled in historic Taneytown, Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel has been carefully restored in award-winning style. The spirit of antebellum elegance will tickle and entice your decorating instincts. A specially catered and served entree will complete your visit to this restored plantation. (Low heels are requested due to the historic preservation).

Imagine rural farm life in the 19th Century as you arrive at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Lively history is on the mind of the costumed guide as she escorts the group through the main house. Self-directed choices abound on the grounds of the 140-acre site, and a stroll in the old-fashioned garden may follow. Craft demonstrations may include pottery, wood carving, or quilting in the old dormitory.

Finish the day with tea and dessert at The Kate Pearl Tearoom, located in the historic William Winchester house. Upstairs you will find time to shop for special gifts for your family and friends.
