Each week, weather and trail-conditions permitting, a singles event is held at Misty Manor Riding Stable. These events take place in a relaxing laid-back atmosphere, where single equestrians can get together and have fun. Beginning riders and people who haven't ridden before are welcome; some weeks we ride only at a walk for the benefit of new riders. Some weeks, lessons are available for new riders at an additional cost. There's also a free mailing list for the participants (in e-mail form), eqsingles, where the rides and events are discussed.
The Singles' Sundays events usually consist of a two-hour trail ride followed by pizza or a cookout, etc. To keep the rides interesting, we ride to different scenic areas each week, in the parkland and reservoir property surrounding Misty Manor, usually returning to the farm around dusk. Other events, such as games on horseback, are being considered. Feel free to bring your own horse (proof of negative Coggins is required) or rent a horse for the ride. Cost is $50 for horse rental. Some weeks will be "bring your own food" week. Reservations are required by around noon on the day of the ride.
