July 20 & 21, 2019. Step back in time on the grounds of the historic Union Mills Homestead for a Civil War Encampment and Living History. Two days of special events commemorate Civil War history at the actual encampment of J.E.B. Stuart’s Cavalry and Sykes’ Union V Corps. Cavalry, infantry, artillery drills, living history, and skirmishes get a front row view of Civil War military forces and the effect on civilians at the Union Mills Homestead where both Union and Confederate forces, rested before the decisive battle at Gettysburg. The grounds will be open both days at 9am. Admission to the park is $10 a car, which includes all the living history, reenactments, presentations and walk-through tours of the house and mill. Saturday evening from 7pm to 9pm we will be holding a Civil War dance. Admission to the dance is included in the park admission, or as a separate ticket at $5 a person.
