Miss Carroll County Competition

The Miss Carroll County Scholarship Competition is open to young women ages 13 through 25 who currently reside, study, or work full-time in the state of Maryland. The competition will take place September 24th, 2022 at Westminster High School.

We are a local preliminary competition to Miss Maryland and Miss America. Founded in 1921, Miss America has become the top scholarship provider for women in the United States. The Miss America Organization, along with state and local organizations make available millions in cash and tuition assistance each year.

The Miss Carroll County Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that proudly offers academic and community-based scholarships for young women attending medical school, working in special areas for military service awareness and in the performing arts.

Throughout the competition and in interviews, candidates have additional opportunities to advocate for their social impact initiatives and to demonstrate how they are uniquely qualified for the exciting and challenging 365-day job of being Miss Carroll County.

The 2023 Miss Carroll County and Miss Carroll County’s Outstanding Teen Competition will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022. Doors will open to the theatre at 5:00pm in the evening. Beforehand, there will be a “Forever Miss Maryland/Miss Carroll County Museum”, featuring memorabilia from former Miss Maryland’s from 4:30 until 5:00pm. The competition is proudly hosted by the home of the Owls, Westminster High School. The address is (1225 Washington Rd, Westminster, MD 21157). All tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Admission for adults is $20 and for children $10. All ticket sale proceeds go towards the Miss Carroll County Scholarship Fund; meaning your attendance alone will help us to provide scholarships for the candidates you see on the stage!
