SUMMARY:Masterworks Presents: Beethoven's Mass in C
DESCRIPTION:The Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County announces their Fall Concert\, Beethoven’s Mass in C\, Sunday\, November 23\, at 3 PM in the Winters Mill High School Auditorium. Conductor Kyle Engler leads the Chorale\, accompanied by Peggy Brengle. \nThis Mass may not be as famous as some of Beethoven’s later works\, but it still illustrates his musical genius. As Beethoven’s first Mass you can hear the early ideas that he later uses in his sacred works. This Mass was composed in 1807 and was commissioned by Prince Nikolaus Esterházy II to commemorate his wife’s Birthday. It has been intriguing audiences ever since. \nIn addition\, Drei gemischte Chöre by Clara Schumann will be performed by our new a Capella choir. \nAdmission is $20\, ages 18 and under are admitted free. For tickets\, and more information about the Chorale and the Concert\, visit the website\, www.masterworksofcc.org. A fundraiser\, consisting of a series of themed raffle baskets\, will be offered at the concert.

SUMMARY:2025 Holiday of Trees\, Wreaths and Centerpieces
DESCRIPTION:The Taneytown Heritage & Museum Association is sponsoring the annual event. Individuals\, businesses and organizations participate by decorating an item in any one of the three categories. All decorated items are donated for a silent auction benefitting the Taneytown History Museum. Decorated items will be on display in the lobby of ACNB Bank\, Taneytown Office\, located at 222 East Baltimore Street\, Taneytown. \nPublic Viewing\, Voting and Silent Auction Hours Monday thru Friday 9 am to 5 pm\, Saturday 9 am to 12 Noon and Saturday\, December 13\, 9 am to 10 am.\nAll items are voted on by the public. Prizes will be awarded in each category. Silent Auction concludes at 10 am. Winning bids announced at 10:30 am.\nWinning bidders must pick up and pay for items 10:30-12 Noon on December 13.
