It’s the return of this innovative show featuring spirited Irish dance and a variety of live Celtic music! Teelin Irish Dance Company is known for performances that accentuate the energy of Irish dance with cutting edge choreography. From the graceful beauty of jigs and reels, to the thundering beat of percussive dance, a performance by this company leaves audience members at the edge of their seats, wishing for more!
Based in Columbia, Maryland, the Teelin Irish Dance Company has graced stages locally, nationally, and internationally since 2001. Some of these stages include The Kennedy Center, Lyric Opera House, Meyerhoff, Weinberg, Carroll Arts Center, Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York, and Jacobs Pillow. They have also performed alongside many other artists including The Young Irelanders, Cherish the Ladies, Gaelic Storm, and Eileen Ivers.

Today is the first day for the Christmas Farmer’s Market and Craft Show. We will be featuring 25 local authors. Come out and meet the authors for book signing and purchases. Come and join us for a German style Christmas Mart. The Shrivers who founded Union Mills were grandsons of German immigrants, and were leaders in the German-speaking community in Piedmont, Maryland. Our Christkindlmarkt event is held in recognition of our site and the surrounding community.
Food and drinks along with gifts will be available for purchase. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Christmas season at Union Mills!
Sharón Clark
Washington, D.C. jazz standout Sharón Clark has brought festival and concert audiences to their feet across the U.S. and Europe. Her New York run drew raves from the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal, and she won New York’s Bistro Award for Best Vocalist. Ms. Clark has made countless international tours, from Europe to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia, where she has developed a major following. Ms. Clark has performed as a featured soloist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony. She has appeared in countless festivals at home and abroad. Both the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and The Ludacris Foundation chose Ms. Clark to perform for their separate tributes to Quincy Jones. Ms. Clark won the Gold Medal and $10,000 top prize at the Savannah Music Festival’s American Traditions Competition. She then took first place in the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition, which featured an appearance with the Baltimore Symphony.
