This community event is designed to support locally owned and operated food trucks as well as the businesses along Downtown Main Street. \nRunning every Monday from April 6 to Sept. 28\, Mondays in Mount Airy features a variety of menu options with different food trucks participating every week. \nThere will be no event on Memorial Day (May 25) and Labor Day (Sept. 7). \nThe event is organized by Sheri Cates and the Town of Mount Airy.

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 15th\, the Carroll County Farmer’s Market is celebrating its 21st Peach Festival. The Market will be open from 8:00am to 2:00pm this Saturday. \nLocal peaches\, peach sundaes\, peach scones\, peach cobblers\, peach pies\, peach cakes\, and other food items are offered for sale. \nThis week customers will also find locally grown tomatoes\, peaches\, corn\, blueberries\, black raspberries\, sour cherries\, beets\, onions\, peas\, cabbage\, broccoli\, cauliflower\, squash\, kale\, spinach\, lettuce\, and fresh cut flowers. \nThere will be many beautiful potted plants\, garden plants\, herbs\, and flowering plants to spruce up your patios. Our producer only market will be offering food products including homemade baked goods\, jams and jellies\, honey\, fresh local eggs\, pasture raised meats\, homemade dips\, soaps\, distilled spirits\, and handmade crafts for all occasions.

DESCRIPTION:The 4th year for a small (but growing) Renaissance Faire in mid-Maryland! August 15 and 16\, 2026 from 10am-6pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday!  Payment at the door is one-day adult sales only.  Get your tickets now and don’t stand in line to pay at the door.  Single-day ticket prices increase to $25 at midnight\, August 14. \nDon’t forget to bring a new\, unwrapped toy for Baltimore Krampus’ Toys for Tots drive! \n\nThe Hooligans\, Piper Jones Band\, Chaste Treasure and more than 40 performers and edutainers across multiple stages!  Learn to crack a whip\, sling a stone\, pluck a harp\, perform some magic\, play a bodhran – with cello\, bagpipe and violin demonstrations as well!\nA 7\,500 square foot mead garden – and you can walk around with your mead this year!\nMore than 85 vendors\, none of whom are permanent vendors at one of the large mid-Atlantic Renaissance events!\nA squires’ spot\, with mermaids\, ogres\, games and activities!  HoCo Pirate Adventures will be there with a short treasure hunt as well!\n5 different combat groups – German longsword\, pirate swashbuckling\, fencing and traditional LARP medieval combat groups – plus boffer combat that you can participate in!\nMore than 10 different food trucks\, plus indoor food vendors!\nBe sure to join our Facebook group!  Parking is free.

DESCRIPTION:Mondays in Mount Airy is a weekly food truck event running from 4 to 8 p.m. on Mondays in the Railyard (3 N. Main St.). This community event is designed to support locally owned and operated food trucks as well as the businesses along Downtown Main Street. \nRunning every Monday from April 6 to Sept. 28\, Mondays in Mount Airy features a variety of menu options with different food trucks participating every week. \nThere will be no event on Memorial Day (May 25) and Labor Day (Sept. 7). \nThe event is organized by Sheri Cates and the Town of Mount Airy.

DESCRIPTION:Presented by Amy Hunt \nAmy will explore the use of genealogy to bring stories to light through cloth. \nAmy Hunt is the curator of The Museum of Frederick County History at Heritage Frederick. She has a degree in Art History from the University of Maryland at College Park and has 25 years of experience curating museum exhibitions. She is a monthly contributor to Frederick Magazine. Born and raised in Frederick County\, Amy\, her husband and her children have lived in Gettysburg\, PA for the last 20 years. She enjoys genealogy\, travel\, reading and visiting cemeteries. \nAs always\, there is no registration for Box Lunch Talks.
