CARROLL COUNTY GROUP TOUR

Progressive Lunch Tour

1 Day (7 hrs)
  • Historic Uniontown
  • Stone House Cakery
  • Antrim 1844 Country Inn
  • Carroll County Farm Museum

Begin your tour with a motorcoach ride through Uniontown, a one-street village frozen in time. See the post office and country store, one-room school-house, and the charming architecture of the private homes. Enjoy the ride through this 200-year old town which proudly bears its presence on the National Register of Historic Places.

Your first stop is Stone House Cakery, located on Taneytown’s quaint Main Street where you will enjoy the first course – a delicious bowl of hot soup!

Nestled in historic Taneytown, Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel has been carefully restored in award-winning style. The spirit of antebellum elegance will tickle and entice your decorating instincts. A specially catered and served entrée will complete your visit to this restored plantation. (Low heels requested due to the historic preservation.)

Imagine rural farm life in the 19th Century as you arrive at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Lively history is on the mind of the costumed guide escorting the group through the main house. Self-directed choices abound on the grounds of the 143-acre site and a stroll in the old-fashioned garden may follow. Craft demonstrations may include pottery, wood carving or quilting in the old dormitory.

Complete your day with tea and dessert in the Reception Barn at the Farm Museum.
