Carroll 250 Speaker Series: Patriots Buried in Carroll County Cemeteries

February 11 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

There are an estimated 60 Revolutionary War Patriots buried in Carroll County across several cemeteries. Many of these are known but many more are likely lost to history. It is important to remember our Patriot ancestors. This talk will provide an overview of family cemeteries, church cemeteries, and town cemeteries located in the county and discuss Patriots buried there.

More importantly as we approach America’s 250th there are cemeteries that are known to be lost or in danger of being lost. Preservation of these Patriot ancestors’ graves is an important part of our American heritage and a sacred duty to keep their memory alive.
