Gallery Reception: Exhibition – The Maryland Portrait Painters

Members of The Maryland Society of Portrait Painters showcase their works in paint, pastel and graphite pencil to promote and encourage an appreciation for the timeless art of portraiture.

From artist John Anderson’s portraits that focus solely on his subject and feature only white backgrounds, to artist Melissa Gryder’s detailed portraits that include incredibly rich backgrounds, the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters exhibition invites you into the world of each subject.

Exhibition runs from July 14 – August 30, 2025. Free and open to the Public.
