S.A.R.: Patriot Grave Marking – Rev. Joseph Rhea

The Westminster Chapter, Maryland Society, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) will be honoring Revolutionary War patriot Rev. Joseph Rhea at the Piney Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery (4472 Harney Rd, Taneytown, MD 21787) at 2 PM, Saturday 09 November 2024. The Rev. Rhea served as a chaplain for Capt. Joseph Martin’s Co., Col W M Christian’s Cherokee Expedition, Washington Co., VA, Oct 1776 and was also the first installed minister of the Piney Creek Presbyterian Church. Come join us for the dedication of a stone SAR marker to this patriot.
