Taneytown Heritage & Museum Association General Public Meeting with Guest Speaker

Helen Strawbridge, curator of the Strawbridge Shrine will be the guest speaker at the public meeting Monday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Grace United Church of Christ, 49 W Baltimore Street, Parish Hall, Taneytown, Md. Robert Strawbridge brought Methodism to America in the 1760’s and his small farm and home have become a museum and historic site. This first dedicated Methodist structure in America was built along Sam’s Creek, south of Taneytown. It is located at Strawbridge Lane, New Windsor, Md. There will be a brief business meeting followed by the guest speaker. Light refreshments will be available. Parking is available in back of the church and handicap parking is available on Cemetery Road.
