On Saturday, August 5th, 2023, from 10am to 7pm, Babylon Vault Company is hosting the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit. We are honored to have the exhibit return with its first stop in Maryland being our plant.
This is a FREE event, open to all ages and is handicap accessible.
The three pillars for Wreaths Across America are, REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who served and are serving and TEACH the next generation the value of freedom. The exhibit showcases these pillars.
Take a tour of the exhibit and experience the beginnings of the mission in the auditorium on board the exhibit. The moving tribute to our fallen heroes will show you how the mission continues to grow across the country.
In addition to the exhibit, we are honored to pin and welcome home Vietnam veterans at the top of the hour starting at noon through 6pm. Vietnam veterans will receive a 50-year Vietnam lapel pin and proclamation, “A Lasting Memento of the Nation’s Thanks!”
Veterans and active-duty service members will be given a free box of Girl Scout cookies, compliments of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
In addition to the exhibit and welcome home pinning, meet local 99-year-old WWII Navy Submariner, John Price, learn how to properly display and fold a flag with the Civil Air Patrol, military vehicles will be on display for photo ops, view a 9/11 tribute car that is being featured in the September issue of Stang Magazine, check out the veteran support service organizations who will be in attendance such as Mission Bee-lieve, Lost Mountain Group who pairs retired military working dogs as companions for veterans, Friends of Disabled Vets of Carroll County who is a staple within the community where they provide free, non-emergency transportation for veterans to medical appointments, Carroll County Veterans Independence Project (CCVIP) provides advocacy and assistance for veterans and families, take a plant tour, food trucks will be on site and so much more.
