The rolling hills of Carroll County’s countryside open up to long vistas of farmland cultivated by generations of families who call Carroll County home. Our towns and small communities offer their own special combination of attractions, including rich history, outdoor recreation, arts and culture, fun festivals, delicious dining, antiques, specialty shops, and much more! Here is a quick peek at what you will find around the bend.
The Carroll County Barn Quilt Trail is a collaborative project undertaken by the Carroll County Arts Council, the Carroll County Office of Tourism, the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks and the Carroll County Public Library. The program honors Carroll County’s agrarian culture by bringing together historic barns and a “sampler” of quilt block patterns.
Whether you are looking for a quick stop to pick up local ingredients for dinner or you want to enjoy the experience of ‘pick-your-own’ Carroll County has a farm for you! Our farms proudly produce high quality meats, fruits & veggies, eggs, dairy, wine, spirit, beer, flowers and so much more!
Beyond food there are also ample opportunities to explore the ‘family-fun’ side of agriculture with corn mazes, horseback riding lessons, petting zoos, hayrides and other seasonally themed activities.
