The Biggest Ideas in the Universe with Sean Carroll

May 16 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

For Adults. Sean Carroll is creating a profoundly new approach to sharing physics with a broad audience, one that goes beyond analogies to show how physicists really think.

In his latest book, Quanta and Fields, Sean Carroll explains measurement and entanglement before explaining how the world is really made of fields. You will finally understand why matter is solid, why there is antimatter, where the sizes of atoms come from, and why the predictions of quantum field theory are so spectacularly successful.

Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the talk.

Presented by A Likely Story Bookstore and Carroll County Public Library. Registration is required. Visit site for details.
